What defines you.

Its an interesting topic. It came from a movie to me. I was watching how to train a dragon one night and certain words really stood out. We'll come back to that in a bit.

So the question 'what defines you?' How do you understand it. Reminds me of the old song I sang in school 'gods love'. If you remember it. The definition is so vast. Today morning I was talking to a friend. And the friend said that its the time and effort you put into things. They define you. Makes sense.

But think about it. Its like watching a movie. Do you remember everything? Actually yes you do. But only if you think hard. What do you remember the most? The important bits? The juicy bits? Yeah? That's what I thought.

Isn't your life like that? You remember all the important juicy bits. The highs, the lows, that one word, the moment your heart fluttered, the moment your jaw fell out, those tears, that hate, the deeprooted love. Its just moments and they define you.

Now you might say I'm wrong. Very wrong. Its a combination of everything. It isn't those moments. Its that somewhere deep down one single thing changed with the passing of that moment. It is *THAT* change that defined you and your decision. So deep down that even you didn't realise it.

To come back to what was said in the movie here are the lines as the first dragon fight is about to start:

Gobber: Don't you... no, Hiccup! If you ever want to get out there to fight dragons, you need to stop all... this.

[gestures to all of Hiccup]

Hiccup: But you just pointed to all of me!

Gobber: Yes! That's it! Stop being all of you!

Hiccup: [nodding and glaring at Gobber] Oh...

Gobber: Oh, yeah!

Hiccup: You, sir, are playing a dangerous game! Keeping this much raw viking-ness contained! There will be consequences!

Gobber: [deadpan] I'll take my chances.

Think about it and tell me too. >
